Pastor Bob Kaylor is a native western Pennsylvanian, born in Pittsburgh and raised in and around Slippery Rock, PA. He is a graduate of Slippery Rock High School (1982) where he played in the band and spent way too much time at the famous Bob's Sub Shop (no relation). He graduated from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania (Indiana, PA) with a degree in history in 1986. He also was commissioned an officer in the Army National Guard through ROTC and served for ten years. He married Jennifer in 1987. After several years of soldiering and working in radio and security, Bob felt a call to ministry and entered Asbury Theological Seminary, graduating with a Master of Divinity in 1995. He was ordained an elder in the United Methodist Church in 1997. He has served churches in Carlisle, PA, Colorado Springs, CO, and now Park City, Utah. Since 2002, Bob has been a writer for Homiletics, a bi-monthly journal for preachers. He was named Senior Writer in 2005.
Bob and Jennifer have two children and enjoy life in the mountains!
